Dynamics AX 2012 R3 has created a way to share AUC files between AX users on remote desktop servers.
What are AUC files used for?
Each Dynamics AX client places AUC files for caching e.g. locally in this folder : c:\users\(username)\AppData\local.
At the first call of objects, e.g. of forms, AOT information is stored in order to start the form faster with further calls without having to retrieve the object data from the AOS again.
In Dynamics AX 2012 R3 it is now possible to share this caching mechanism among the remote desktop users. Therefore other users will benefit when calling objects in the AX client if these objects already exist in the shared AUC files.
A new parameter in the “Microsoft Dynamics AX Configuration Utility” allows you to define a share folder for AUC files in an AX client configuration:
