Just a few weeks ago, Microsoft split its Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations business application into 2 Apps Dynamics 365 Finance and Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management.
Dynamics 365 Commerce announces another application in the Dynamics 365 family.
Dynamics 365 Commerce provides a complete solution for all channels that combines backoffice, in-store, and digital experiences to personalize customer engagement, increase employee productivity, streamline workflows, and improve better to deliver business results.
Built-in web development tools make it possible to create engaging and intelligent storefronts, while a marketing and trading platform in Dynamics 365 Commerce enables content, assets, promotions, inventory and pricing to be managed across channels.
Commerce is also a rebranding and functional extension of Dynamics 365 Retail.
Microsoft provides existing Dynamics 365 Retail customers with an update to Dynamics 365 Commerce. It is also possible that Dynamics 365 Commerce can also be delivered as a standalone app or extended with the Dynamics 365 Finance and Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management apps.
As shown in the following figure, a fully integrated end-to-end system is provided. And this can benefit not only for retailers, but for all companies that want to digitize their processes and offer real omnichannel processes.
